Waterloo, Ontario, Canada January 20, 2004 -- Publication of the first two volumes of the noted Prosperian Papers series of children's books has just been announced. Vol. 1, The Rock Candy bandits, deals with efforts by the Royal Prosperian Flying Desert Corps and Col. Elmer Oddley to deal with Moustapha and his bandit band and their hijacking of shipments of rock candies going from Prosperity to neighboring Asperiaty and of shipments of vinegar from Asperity to Prosperity.

The Prosperians use the vinegar on their french fries -- a national dish grown on french fries trees. The Asperians use the rock candies to counter the puckers they get working at the Great Vinegar Works. In a bid to thwart the Desert Copps, Moustapha kidnaps two Corps members to hold for ransom (and a camel stew). Will the Desert Corps rescue mission arrive in time?

Moustapha's Mischief deals with a plot by Moustapha to set up toll gates on the desert trails to seize rock candies and vinegar en route. When Corpsmen come to investigate they are seized and spell-shipped to the Young Demon's Academy for re-training. Will the Corps prisoners manage to escape and avoid demonty?
